Privacy Policy
Effective August 9, 2026 · Last updated August 9, 2026
This explains what Job Scaler LLC collects, why, and what you can do about it. We've written it in plain English because a privacy policy nobody can read isn't much of a policy.
We collect what you send us through our forms, basic analytics about how people use this site, and — for customers — the call and message records our automations create. We don't sell your data. We never share mobile opt-in information with anyone for their own marketing. Email us and we'll delete what we hold.
1. Who we are
Job Scaler LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company operating as JobScaler, serving contractors on the South Shore and across Massachusetts. Contact us at chris@jobscaler.io.
2. Two different roles
This matters, so it comes early. We handle personal information in two distinct ways.
Our own visitors and customers. When you fill in a form here, join our newsletter, or book a call, we decide how that information is used. This policy governs it.
Our customers' customers. When we run automations for a contractor, we handle their callers' phone numbers and messages on their behalf. In that case the contractor decides what happens to that information and we act on their instructions. If a contractor texted you and you want your details removed, contact that business — or tell us and we'll pass it along.
3. What we collect
You give us: name, phone number, email, business name, and whatever you write in our contact form; your email if you join the newsletter; and the details you enter when booking through our scheduling tool.
Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on page, and referring site — through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.
Created by the service: for customers, records of missed calls, texts sent and received, chat transcripts, and review requests — including the phone numbers of the people your business communicates with.
4. Why we collect it
To answer you when you get in touch, to deliver and run the service you bought, to send you occasional updates you asked for, to understand which parts of this site are useful, and to meet our tax and legal obligations. That's the whole list.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used and the Meta Pixel to measure whether our ads reach the right people. Both set cookies and both share data with their own companies under their own policies.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, adjust Meta's ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account, and block cookies in your browser. The site works fine without them. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
6. Text messages and mobile numbers
If you give us your mobile number, we use it to reply to you and, if you agreed to it, to send service updates. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance.
Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with the messaging providers that deliver the messages, and only to deliver them.
7. Who else sees your data
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing. We do rely on service providers who process data on our behalf: messaging and telephony providers, scheduling software, email and newsletter tools, website hosting, and analytics and advertising platforms as described above.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. If the business is ever sold, customer information could transfer as part of it — we'd tell you first.
8. How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become customers: about two years. Customer records: for the life of the account plus seven years, because tax and contract rules require it. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Call and message logs: for the life of the account, unless the customer asks us to purge them sooner.
9. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections, limit access to people who need it, and choose providers with credible security practices. We maintain a written information security program as Massachusetts law (201 CMR 17.00) requires for businesses holding residents' personal information. No system is perfect, and we won't pretend otherwise — but if a breach affects you, we'll notify you as the law requires.
10. Your choices
Email us at chris@jobscaler.io and we'll tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Unsubscribe links appear in every marketing email, and STOP works on every text.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights — to a copy of your data, to deletion, to correction, to opt out of targeted advertising, and not to be treated differently for exercising them. Ask and we'll honor them; we don't check whether we're technically required to first.
11. Children
This is a service for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we'll delete it.
12. Changes
When this policy changes we'll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we'll tell you directly rather than relying on you to notice.
13. Contact
Any privacy question or request: chris@jobscaler.io, or the contact form. We answer within one business day.
